When Sparks Fly Blog Hop

Loads of blogs to visit and great prizes to be won. Click on the poster above to visit the other blogs in the hop.

To be in with a chance to win an ebook copy of my new release A Knight to Remember, leave your contact details, and share what your favourite fantasy 'species' is and why.

Mine are dragons as they feature in my new release, and they're powerful and yet often lonely at the same time. I also think they're often pictured as the 'bad guys' and I don't think that's neccessarily the case, perhaps misunderstood and feared because they're 'other' and the unknown.

I'm also rather fond of vampires, especially as several characters in current WIP Shades of Sepia, an urban fantasy, are vampires. I've always loved good vampire stories especially those which explore what I think is the real 'curse' of vampirism, immortality while those around them are still mortal and die.

I like angels, especially when they struggle with human feelings. Unusual shifters are good, too!

I haven't read any angel shifter stories although I've had some recommended. They're on my TBR list.

I like all kinds of fantasy species. Would mages count as a species? If not, shapeshifters then.

I recently finished an anthology about Angels, and there was such a wonderful variety that I really became a fan.

Thanks for sharing with us!

Favorite species
I love me some aliens because the way authors portray them so differently. Every alien is unique and it never makes reading boring.

I love the world building for the alien stories, and how they are so different too.

I really like dragon shifters and bear shifters the most.

Adding A Knight to Remember to the ever growing wish list in case I don't win it here.

I am a big fan of dragons! As an art history major in college it was interesting to see the dichotomy between the European malevolent dragon and the Asian benevolent dragon!
