Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your writing?
I'm retired now after running a day care for twenty years. I'm a widow. I have four kids, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. (Yes, I'm that old!) I started out writing fan fiction, which I still write. My very first fan fiction was written back in the '50s. It was a Dragnet story. (I love cop shows.)
Can you tell us about your new release? What inspired you to write it?
My new release is called HOME. It's a story about a cop, Sean Hennessey, who has this one particular person, Mitchell Yates, that he thought was involved in a lot of crimes around L.A. and he's never been able to pin anything on him. One night Sean drives into an ambush. Shots are being fired at him, he's hit, death seems imminent; when who comes to his rescue but Mitchell Yates. Yates transports Sean to his home – a satellite orbiting earth! He exposes Sean to a way of life he thought possible only in Science Fiction. This story has a budding romance between Sean and Yates, troubles from a jealous old boyfriend, a kidnapping, a resuce, wild man-eating animals, a trip to the Pleasure Planet, and lots of exciting other experiences.
I've always enjoyed stories where someone turns out to be the exact opposite of what everyone thinks they are. I love cop shows, and science fiction. So I decided to combine the two.
That's easy. I write what I like to read.
Do characters and stories just pop into your head, or do you take your time thinking about them?
Both. Character and situations do pop into my head, and I spend a great deal of time thinking about them, working out personalities and plotlines.
Do you write often? Is it on a schedule, or whenever you feel like it?
Yes, I write often, but it's not on any schedule. I write only when I feel like it. I can't write if I don't feel like it.
If you had access to a time machine just once, is there anything you'd go back and change? Either on a personal level or an historical event?
Yes. I'd tell my sister not to go out that Christmas morning when she was killed by a drunk driver.
If you could go anywhere in the world, all expenses paid, where would you go, who would you take with you, if anyone, and why?
Padre Island, and I'd take my entire family – kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
What are your writing and personal goals for 2016 and beyond?
To work on my next book and get it ready for publication, to work on another book that I have on the back burner called “THE DETECTIVE AND THE ALIEN” and get that ready to submit. I also have some books that were published by companies that have since gone out of business. I'd like to try and find a place for them.
When is your next book coming out, and what’s it about?
My next book is called, THE TEST. It's been accepted by WIP but we haven't started the editing yet so I have no idea when it will be out. It's about three college professors who find themselves alone after some unknown incident destroys most of the world leaving the three of them the sole survivors.
What are you working on at present? Would you like to share a snippet?
I'm currently working on some fan fiction, which I adore both writing and reading. (Brokeback Mountain and X-Files)
Do you get emails asking why characters didn’t get together and whether you’re going to write more about them?
I do about my fan fiction. Not about any original fiction that I've written.
Are you a cat person or a dog person? Can you tell us about your pets?
Cat person. I'm currently caring for four stray/feral cats. A mommy cat decided to have her kittens in my storeroom. They are gray/black striped tabbys. The mommy is friendly but her kittens are completely feral.

LAPD Detective Sean Hennessey has one person he’s repeatedly tried to arrest and bring to justice: his nemesis, Mitchell Yates.
Yates has been in and out of trouble for years, always skating around the edges of LA’s underbelly; however, Sean can never pin anything on him.
But one night all of that changes.
Caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, instead of arresting Yates, Sean is rescued by him and taken to Yates’ home—a satellite high above Earth. There, Sean discovers a world he thought possible only in Science Fiction.
Everything he believed he knew about Yates is turned upside down, and Sean must make a decision: to remain with the LAPD or join Yates and work toward intergalactic peace.

At home, Sean carried in his groceries and stored them, before starting his Saturday chores of laundry and cleaning. He ate dinner out. Once back in his apartment, he fixed himself a drink and put on some soft jazz. He needed to sit and think.
His entire world had been turned upside down. He had seen and experienced things he thought were impossible. He had spent time with someone he’d thought of as an enemy and found to be a friend; maybe more than a friend. He stood and paced when he thought of the kiss they’d shared. How could that have happened? Hadn’t he known Yana for years and years? Apparently not. He knew Mitchell Yates, not Yana
“Yana.” Sean said the name out loud.
Why does the mere thought of him scramble my mind? How can just thinking about him bring such excitement? When I think of Mitchell Yates, I feel nothing. Yet the name “Yana” is a whole different story. It’s like they are two different people! And where did all these strange feelings come from? Haven’t I always preferred the brainless blond, beach boy, Jimmy-types for a few hours’ fun? And anything more serious than that I’d already decided long ago was not in the cards for me.
Sean couldn’t make sense of any of it. How could the green-eyed creature with the thick sable hair capture him so fast and so completely? Was it the tall, lean body, the long legs, or maybe the crooked smile? And what did he see in those eyes that had never been there before?
He went to bed and fell asleep thinking about the kiss, and the delicious mouth that delivered it.
